Review: Lock & Key by Cat Porter

Lock & Key #1

Just wow.
I mean sit down, press your thighs together and hold on to that chair. This book is one of the most amazing adult books I have read in soooooo long. This book beats 50 Shades of Grey's pants off. LITERALLY!

Cat Porter writes adult literature like I am sitting in the room with it occurring. I was sweating through the hot and sexy scenes.

Grace, the main character has a past of rough and bad memories. They still haunt her, though she has gotten them under control. Then her sister becomes very ill and she must return home which will inevitably bring those ghosts back to the surface. One being the biker club that she is a sister of. They protect her like family, but they also bring her in to help them as well. Try as she might to stay neutral and only see her sister, she runs into a man she cannot resist a little tryst with.

Miller is not only a part of the biker club, but so amazingly sexy that Grace cannot leave well enough alone. A night of pleasure could turn in to a very bad decision that multiplies.

Add in the fact that she hasn't seen nor heard from her father in years, creates quite the chaos for Grace.

GO GO NOW and BUY THIS BOOK. It is only 99 cents right now on Amazon!!

Goodreads Description:
I suppose some of us have to get really dirty before we can become truly clean.

I was allegedly South Dakota’s most famous old lady.
Sixteen years ago I survived my old man’s murder

Never again.
Never again will I surrender my heart.
Never again will I sacrifice to the Club.

But that all changed in one night.

I came home and crashed into him,
and my past and present blew up in my face.
Both of us lonely, running on empty, and unwilling to admit it.

Until now.
Now I feel things I’d forgotten about, want things I’d cut out of my insides.

Love not only stings when you lose it, when it’s ripped away from you.
When it first sinks its teeth in you, it can cut just as raw and sting just as deep.

I’d forgotten that.

Who holds the keys to betrayal? To suspicion? To trust?
To brotherhood? To family?
To redemption and a bleeding heart?
Right now, I just might.

Review: Contagious by Emily Goodwin

Title: Contagious
Series Contagium #1
Author: Emily Goodwin
Publication Date: Jan 17, 2012
Publisher: Permuted Press

This book was my first introduction to Zombies. I am fascinated by them. I have wanted to watch the TV Series Walking Dead, but didn't make it through the first episode due to the gore. Gross. But I am a huge fan of end of the world series. I love the "What would I do" factor. I am also a big fan of strong women characters. And Emily Goodwin does not disappoint.

Orissa is a fabulously strong, resilient and on occasion, humbly female lead. She wakes up after being in the hospital having missed the initial zombie takeover. She is saved and brought into an underground room where the rest of the hospital survivors have survived. But she cannot stay there forever. She has to find her family.

There is a wonderful love triangle in this book as she decides between a smart, handsome man and a ruggedly strong man. Each one with their own virtues and weaknesses.

SERIOUSLY DEVOURED THIS SERIES. One. book. after. another.
So good. So worth the time.

Goodreads Description:
"I wasn’t afraid of death. If I died, it would be over. My worst fear wasn’t of dying, it was of living. Living, while everyone around me had their flesh savagely torn from their bodies to be shoved into the festering and ever-hungry mouths of zombies. It terrified me, right down to my very core, to be alive while the rest of the world was dead."

In the midst of the Second Great Depression, twenty-five year old Orissa Penwell doesn't think things can get any worse. She couldn't be more wrong. A virus breaks out across the country, leaving the infected crazed, aggressive and very hungry.

Orissa will do anything-no matter if it's right or wrong- to save the ones she loves. But when she discovers that most of the world is infected or dead, she must decided if those lives are worth saving at all.

Computer geniuses are awesome

Finally found someone to fix my Mac! I have been without for months and months and it's been killing me. Yes I can blog on my iPad but it's not the same nor near as easy. I have borrowed my husbands pc, but it's also lame. Though as he has stated many times, it is working. Course I never eat bowls of cereal over his laptop. But my laptop is where I live, eat and breath, so it gets spilled on. Unfortunately I may have to remedy that as it was costly and time consuming to fix.

So bring on the book reviews, cover reveals and so much more!!
