The hotly awaited second book in the dystopian Matched trilogy
In search of a future that may not exist and faced with the decision of who to share it with, Cassia journeys to the Outer Provinces in pursuit of Ky - taken by the Society to his certain death - only to find that he has escaped, leaving a series of clues in his wake.
Cassia's quest leads her to question much of what she holds dear, even as she finds glimmers of a different life across the border. But as Cassia nears resolve and certainty about her future with Ky, an invitation for rebellion, an unexpected betrayal, and a surprise visit from Xander - who may hold the key to the uprising and, still, to Cassia's heart - change the game once again. Nothing is as expected on the edge of Society, where crosses and double crosses make the path more twisted than ever.
In the summer of 1991 I was a normal kid. I did normal things. I had friends and a mother who loved me. I was just like you. Until the day my life was stolen.
For eighteen years I was a prisoner. I was an object for someone to use and abuse.
For eighteen years I was not allowed to speak my own name. I became a mother and was forced to be a sister. For eighteen years I survived an impossible situation.
On August 26, 2009, I took my name back. My name is Jaycee Lee Dugard. I don’t think of myself as a victim. I survived.
A Stolen Life is my story—in my own words, in my own way, exactly as I remember it.

Hunting Lila is amazing, I read it last week. Definitely one to snatch up straight away!
I'm also looking forward to crossed! It looks amazing! I loved Matched!
Check out my blog :) Ink Scratchers
I still need to read Matched! I'd love to read both back to back. :) Hunting Lila looks good too. Great choices.
I have Hunting Lila on my wishlist, too. And Crossed, to a certain extent (I didn't enjoy the first one as much as other people did). A Stolen Life sounds powerful though!
I want to read Jaycee Dugard's book, but I think it's going to be a difficult and emotional read.
Hunting Lila sounds amazing. Thanks for sharing.
My featured wishlist is Rapunzel's Daughters. Please come see what else is on my plate.
All of these sound terrific! And so my TBR list continues to grow...
